Edgeley Early Learning & Child Care Centre

Spaces for storage of medical supplies, cleaning materials, equipment, other poisonous or hazardous substances, heating equipment and/or electrical equipment in the child care centre, and the items kept in those spaces, are accessible to children.

The contact information for a parent and an emergency contact are not up to date and readily accessible to each staff member.

The licensee has not ensured that a drug or medication is administered to a child only with written parental authorization including a schedule that sets out the times and amounts to be administered.

The licensee has not maintained a daily written record that includes a summary of any incident affecting the health, safety or well-being of any child.

The licensee has not implemented the policies and procedures with respect to sleep.

The licensee has not implemented the written procedures for the administration of medications.

The licensee has not kept up-to-date records of the date of discharge of each child.

Inspections of the outdoor play space, fixed play structures and surfacing have not been conducted as required.

The licensee has not posted a list in each play area or play room with names of the children and their allergies or food restrictions.

The licensee did not provide every employee written notice that included whether or not the licensee would be applying to enrol in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care System, if applying the anticipated date of application and if applicable, the results of the application within 14 days of becoming aware of the results.

The licensee has not sent a copy of the direction or order madeby the local medical officer of health or the local fire department immediately to a program adviser and/or has not notified a program adviser immediately of any enforcement action taken against the licensee in relation to the direction or order.

The licensee has not labelled food and/or drink supplied by a parent with the child's name.

Not every volunteer AND/OR student on educational placement has a health assessment and immunization as directed by the local medical officer of health.

Upon successful enrolment into the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care System and within 14 days of knowing the results of enrolment the licensee did not notify parents of the results and eligible parents of their credits or refund. OR Upon unsuccessful enrolment into the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care System and within 14 days of knowing the results of enrolment the licensee did not notify eligible parents of the rights of withdrawal under subsection 77.2(3)
