What we collect
- Email address — when you create an account, used only to sign you in and send a one-time confirmation email.
- Saved daycares — which daycare listings you have added to your shortlist.
- Notes — text you write and attach to saved daycares. Visible only to you.
- Reports — corrections you submit about a listing. Reviewed by us to improve data accuracy.
- Session cookie — a functional cookie that keeps you signed in. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
How we use it
- To provide and operate the FirstDrop service.
- To improve the accuracy of daycare listing data based on your reports.
- We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising.
Where data is stored
Authentication is handled by Supabase (supabase.com). Your account email is stored on their servers. Your saved daycares, notes, and reports are stored in our own database. Both are hosted in Canada or the United States.
Daycare data
Daycare listings are sourced from Ontario's licensed childcare registry, published by the Ministry of Education. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of this data. Confirm all details directly with the daycare provider.
Your rights (PIPEDA)
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at hello@firstdrop.ca.
